Additionally, the updated system now allows for the extension of visit visas for relatives or friends on single or multiple trips, with durations ranging from 30, 60, to 90 days. Visitors can also expect an updated policy regarding the extension of pre-entry visa validity.
Regarding tourist visas for Indians, the general rule is that eligible tourists from India can obtain the visa. However, the UAE’s official government portal states that female travelers under 18 are not eligible to apply for this type of visa unless they are traveling with their parents.
Furthermore, children under 18 and accompanying adults are eligible for a free visa for visits made between July 15th and September 15th each year.
Types of Dubai tourist visas available for Indians
Currently, there are four types of tourist visas available:
1.Short-term tourist visa – single entry. Valid for 30 days.
2.Short-term tourist visa – multiple entries. Valid for 30 days after initial entrance.
3.Long-term tourist visa – single entry. Valid for 90 days.
4. Long-term tourist visa – multiple entries. Valid for 90 days after the initial entry.
Additionally, there is a visit visa available, which allows for a single entry and has a duration of 60 days from the date of issue. The validity period for all tourist visas is 60 days from the date of issuance.
Dubai Tourist Visa Documents necessary for an Indian
Typically, the required documents for obtaining a Dubai tourist visa from India are as follows:
- A colored photograph measuring 6 x 6 cm with a white background (minimum of 600×600 pixels). At least 80% of your face must be visible.
- A colored copy of your Indian passport, displaying your full name, nationality, date, and place of birth, passport number, date of issue and expiry, name of father/legal guardian, and the name of your mother.
- A valid passport with at least six months of validity at the time of travel.
- A copy of the flight ticket from your preferred airline.
Dubai tourist visa -applying from India
It’s important to note that the UAE Consulate in India does not issue visit/tourist visas on ordinary passports for Indian citizens traveling to the UAE.
To apply for a Dubai tourist visa from India, follow these steps:
Step 1: Complete the online application
Choose the type of Dubai tourist visa you wish to apply for and complete it online. Print the completed form and bring a hard copy with you to the Visa Application Centre, along with the required documents for submission.
Step 2: Pay the visa application fee
After completing your visa application form, you need to pay the visa application fee. If you download and print the form to bring it to the Visa Application Centre, you can make the payment at the time of submission.
Please note that the visa fee can be paid in cash, by credit card, or through demand drafts at the Visa Application Centre.
Step 3: Submit the visa application form
Once you have completed the visa application form, you can submit it at the Visa Application Centre without booking a prior appointment.
You can submit the completed visa application form either in person or through a representative at the Visa Application Centre. On the day of submission, you or your representative will need to fulfill the following requirements:
– Visa applications can be submitted by the applicant or their representative.
– A token will be issued to the applicant or their representative (if applicable) before proceeding to the submission officer’s desk.
– Bring the duly filled and signed visa application form along with colored photocopies of your Passport Bio and Last pages, a recent passport-size photograph, a confirmed return/onward Emirates ticket, and other supporting documents as per the eligibility criteria.
– Your original passport, with a minimum of two (2) blank pages, will be verified.
– The passport should have a validity of at least six (6) months from the date of travel.
-Visa fees are payable in cash, by credit card, or by demand draught. Collect the original invoice cum receipt (ICR) copy from the cash counter after payment.
– After submission, your visa will be delivered to the email address mentioned in the Visa application form within 2-3 working days.
