Depending on your profile, the nominee programmes of provinces may be the simplest way to obtain PR in Canada. So, which provinces make it the easiest for candidates with no ties to Canada to obtain PR?There are numerous nominee programmes, each with its own set of eligibility criteria.PNPs are generally intended to fill labour-force gaps, so they will seek candidates with experience in in-demand occupations.We are frequently asked which Canadian Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is the easiest for overseas candidates to enter. While many PNPs require a connection to their province, such as a job offer, work experience, or an educational credential, some programmes invite candidates solely on the basis of their ability and skill set.

 

The four provinces considered the easiest for overseas applicants to obtain PR in Canada  are as follows:

 

1. Saskatchewan

 

Saskatchewan, located in Canada’s prairie region, has become a popular destination for immigrants due to its strong economic growth and job opportunities.

 

The International Skilled Worker PNP of Saskatchewan’s Occupations In-Demand and Express Entry streams are intended to recruit workers with experience in the province’s in-demand occupations. Candidates for these International Skilled Worker streams are through an Expression of Interest (EOI) system.

 

Applicants should not be in an occupation that is on SINP’S and have an experience of one year in order to submit an EOI. Candidates must  have completed at least one year of post-secondary education and be fluent in English or French. Any candidate who meets Saskatchewan’s minimum eligibility requirements.

An EOI profile must have at least 60 points on their Points Assessment Grid. Profiles submitted are then considered for one of SINP’s EOI draws. In SINP EOI draws, only candidates with the highest competitive SINP score and in-demand occupations are invited.

Candidates who qualify for Express Entry can apply through the Saskatchewan Express Entry stream to have their permanent residence application processed more quickly. Those who do not qualify to submit an Express Entry profile can still apply through the Saskatchewan Occupations In-Demand stream.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Alberta

Alberta, Canada’s western province, is home to some of the most prosperous cities in the country, including Calgary and Edmonton. Alberta is a notable province for prospective newcomers due to its growing job market and excellent education system.

The Alberta Express Entry stream selects candidates for provincial nomination from the federal Express Entry pool. One significant advantage of this stream is that Express Entry candidates with CRS scores as low as 300 are considered, which means that more candidates in the pool will be notified  from the province.

 

It is important to note that a CRS score of 300 or higher does not guarantee acceptance into Alberta’s Express Entry programme. The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program discloses the CRS score of the lowest-ranked candidate in each round of invitations but not the additional targeted criteria. Chances for a candidate may be improved by the following factors:

 

• A qualifying relative that is an Alberta permanent resident or citizen;
• An offer of employment or work experience in Alberta; and
• A diploma from a Canadian post-secondary institution.

 

Alberta’s Express Entry system is linked to the federal Express Entry system. That is, receiving a provincial nomination raises an applicant’s CRS score by 600 points, virtually guaranteeing them an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for PR in the next Express Entry draw.

 

 

3.Ontario

Ontario is the most popular immigration destination in Canada, with many newcomers drawn to the bustling city of Toronto and its expanding tech-jobs sector. As a result, the province has a large quota for assisting newcomers in immigrating through PNP channels.

 

Despite having one of the highest quotas in the country, Ontario wishes to attract even more newcomers. To help address the province’s labour shortage, Ontario’s Labour Minister Monte McNaughton recently requested that the number of immigrants allowed under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) be increased from 9,000 to 18,000 per year.

For those who do not reside in Canada, Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities stream is an excellent choice. This stream prioritises skilled workers capable of filling skilled job openings in the province.

 

The Human Capital Priorities also uses the federal Express Entry system. Prospective candidates must have an active Express Entry profile with a CRS score of 400 or higher. Ontario scans all Express Entry profiles and invites certain profiles to apply to the PNP, typically based on a group of NOC codes and a specific CRS range.

 

Ontario has a PNP stream for French-Speaking Skilled Workers with Express Entry profiles. If you have intermediate to advanced French skills, this programme could be a great fit for you!

 

Because of Ontario’s high immigration quotas, the province holds frequent draws, making it one of the easiest provinces in Canada for qualified candidates to obtain permanent residency.

 

4. Nova Scotia

 

Nova Scotia is located on Canada’s east coast, on the Atlantic Ocean. The province’s proximity to the ocean, low cost of living, and relaxed way of life make it a desirable destination for many prospective newcomers.

Nova Scotia’s Labour Market Priorities also chooses candidates from the Express Entry pool directly. Because this stream frequently invites profiles with no ties to the province, it is regarded as one of the easiest PNPs for overseas applicants to obtain PR.

 

Nova Scotia does not publish the occupations or criteria that will be targeted prior to their intake rounds, but they frequently invite candidates who have no ties to the province. Candidates must have an active Express Entry profile and indicate their interest in Nova Scotia.

Candidates who receive an invitation from Nova Scotia may apply for a provincial nomination. Because the stream uses the Express Entry system, successful nominees receive 600 points added to their CRS score. These extra points almost guarantee an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a federal Express Entry draw.
